The Health Science Program consists of classroom and laboratory settings for the students to attain the necessary knowledge base and skills for entry level employment in the healthcare industry. It also gives them a jump start on the future additional education for a career as a certified nursing assistant, home health aide, medical records, nursing, EMS, restorative care, and many other health professions.

The students will be able to attain up to 14 college credits through Ivy Tech through three of the dual credit courses offered in the program and are able to receive a certified nursing assistant certification prior to leaving their high school studies. 

The students will also be able to spend time  job shadowing  in  healthcare settings and work alongside staff in the long term care facility mastering the skills they have learned in the classroom/laboratory. 

The program consists of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, diseases and disorders of body systems, exploration of multiple health professions and hands on patient/resident care and the Indiana State Approved Certified Nursing assistant curriculum.
