Digital Communications

West Washington – Mr. Brian Wolfe

Hello! My name is Mr. Wolfe and I teach Digital Communications courses through Lost River Career Cooperative at West Washington Jr./Sr. High School. Our newly renovated classroom has 30 brand new, state-of-the-art Apple iMac computers. In addition to our classroom, we have a large studio that houses our (soon to launch), WWSN Senator News as well as our already operating WWSR Senator Radio internet radio station. We have a large green screen that features a green floor. In addition to our classroom and studio, we also have state-of-the-art equipment ranging from cameras to microphones that allow us to complete any video, audio, or graphic design idea that you can think of!

My program offers you two pathways. One is Graphic Imaging which includes the classes; Principles of Visual Communication, Graphic Design and Layout, Advanced Graphic Design, and the Graphic Design and Print Layout Capstone course. We use Adobe Creative Cloud 2018 software for all of our iMacs. Classes in this pathway will use Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign.

The second program offered to you is Radio & Television which includes the classes; Principles of Radio & TV, Audio and Video Production, Mass Media Performance, and Radio & TV Broadcasting Capstone. We use Adobe Creative Cloud 2018 software for all of our iMacs. Classes in this pathway will use Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Audition, and Adobe After Effects. Students in this pathway will also work with and possibly manage our radio and news stations!
